Welcome to Carrie Davis Consulting! I am an independent organizational consultant as well as a passionate and experienced trainer, coach, leadership developer, and community builder. I have over 20 years of experience working with nonprofit and for-profit companies, organizations, government agencies, educational institutions and foundations to increase their impact and organizational effectiveness. I use my distinctive background in human rights, services, health care and human services, and architecture to look uniquely at issues and address the distinctive causes that are contributing to a specific concern, not just the symptoms or signs.
I work to strengthen the impact potential of organizations and companies by providing training, technical assistance and capacity-building, and coaching, mentorship and advising to address concerns in the following areas: group dynamics and development, team building and growth, program and policy development, service skills building, conflict resolution, managing change, and meeting and retreat facilitation.
My approach is able to impact a broad range of issue areas, populations, needs and programming. I have also developed a unique focus on group interventions and development, HIV, substance use, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender service (LGBT) areas. This includes deep expertise with respect to expanding organizational capacity, designing policies, and introducing new practices for transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) people and community.

Ending the Epidemic in the Trans Community” [link] was written in response to the ongoing failure of mainstream HIV prevention, treatment, and activism to address a foundational cause of HIV in the transgender communities – socioeconomic injustice, in particular rampant poverty and unemployment.
